We all face challenges daily. We have personal challenges, challenges at work and challenges in society that we take to heart and want to be a part of the change. Many of us don’t like challenges and when we feel challenged we feel burdened and we feel slighted in some way. We should look at challenges as a chance for our potential to develop and shine through. We should also face each challenge with determination to make it on the other side of the obstacle better than we are today. We must know that we will be smarter and stronger because of our challenges.
Exactly what does challenge mean. Well, according to Merriam Webster the meaning of Challenge is:
: to dispute especially as being unjust, invalid, or outmoded : impugn
: to question formally the legality or legal qualifications of
: to confront or defy boldly : dare
: to call out to duel or combat
: to invite into competition
: to arouse or stimulate especially by presenting with difficulties
: to administer a physiological and especially an immunologic challenge to (an organism or cell)
: to make or present a challenge
: to take legal exception
The strongest definition listed here is to take legal exception. We can take legal exception because we are children of God. It is our legal right to have what He has promised us. We have the right to legally walk in peace and abundance. We are not beggars we are heirs. Therefore, I don’t have to let the challenge of being debt free way me down. It is my right to be a giver and not be a borrower. Therefore, the challenge to be what God says I am should be one that is motivational and encouraging. Not one that will weigh me down and take my faith away. Challenges are simply obstacles that God has equipped us to go through, walk around, or climb over. A challenge is the greatest opportunity to enhance your faith and to be all that God has created you to be.
What is your challenge today? How are you handling it? What does the scripture say about your challenge? A challenge is not a punishment, it is an opportunity to be transformed into the destined you.
