Honesty is very important because when you walk in truth you are free. If you are not honest then the lies will keep you in bondage. We must live our lives in totally freedom so that we can be a blessing unto others.

It is really hard for some people to be honest, especially with themselves. The first step to true growth is being honest with ourselves. Once we are honest with ourselves there is no way we can lie to others. Therefore, we will live in total freedom and able to serve our God with a pure heart.

Believing God

“I can get more out of God by believing Him for one minute than by shouting at HIm all night”-Smith Wigglesworth

The key to getting God to move on your requests is simply to believe that He is already moving on your behalf. God tells us that whatsoever, we ask believing, not doubting that will we have. God can not lie, therefore, surely this statement is an actual fact that we can depend on.

Just believe.

Freedom for your Past

Freedom means: the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.

To be free is a wonderful feeling and with it comes so much power. There have been two distinct times in my life where I felt genuine freedom. Once was when I surrendered to God and the other is when I got divorced. You never truly appreciate freedom if you have never been held captive from being true to yourself and able to do what is in your heart to do.

When I was married I had no freedom. I actually hated going home after work. But now I am free to be me. I am free to come and go in peace as I want to. I am free to make my own decisions be it right or wrong. I am free to simply be me.

My desire is for everyone to be free, especially free from your past. Here is a Unity prayer on Freedom from your past.

My heart is at peace, for I know that Your love, dear God, has set me free from mistakes of the past. Assured of Your blessing. I face the future strong, wise and unafraid. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Walk in your new-found freedom and live a happy, healthy, and blessed life.

Today I learned that my favorite high school teacher passed away. There is never enough time with the ones that we love. I asked about her often through her family members and I am so sad that she is gone. Here is a prayer I found in one of my mailings from Unity. I pray it brings someone comfort.

The love of God surrounds, enfold, sustains and comforts me.

You are not alone. God is always with you-loving you, supporting you, and guiding you through your loss. You live in the light of God’s peace, and you are comforted.

God is our true comforter. RIP Ms. Herman.

Your Steps Are Ordered?

The bible teaches us that our steps are ordered. The exact scripture reads The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way Psalm 37:23; KJV. If God is ordering our steps then surely He sees the future. He created our future so He knows without doubt the paths we should take and the best route to get us there. Our destiny was mapped out when God created us way before He placed us in our mother’s womb. If God took the time to create you, map out your entire life, count the number of hairs on your head and engraved your name, yes your name. He knew what your name was before your mother ever announced it then surely He is hovering over you watching you and have your steps ordered.

If God has taken this kind of care towards you then you should trust Him beyond measure and fully rest in His Word. Know that God has it all in control and in no way does He have plans to harm you. Allow the depth of God’s love to penetrate your heart and mind and trust Him internally for all eternity.

Your steps are ordered so let God lead you to exactly where it has been orchestrated for you to be.

What are you focusing on?

What are you focusing on? Whatever you focus on is what you will invite into your life. If you ever took drivers education you will remember the instructor telling you to focus on the road. More specifically focus on the center of the lane you are in. If you recall during the time you were learning to drive it was hard keeping the car on your side of the road. That is because whatever you focused on when driving that is what you would drift towards. Therefore you had to train yourself to focus on the center of the lane you were driving in.

Life is the same way. If you focus on the negative, fears, and defeated thoughts those are the things you invite into your life. Those are the things that you will migrate towards unconsciously. No matter how bad you may want those things out of your life your focus won’t release them. According to a book called Faith’s little instruction book Creflo A. Dollar stated, “The more attention and weight you give the Word, the more revelation and power you’re going to receive”.

Even God tells us in His Word in James 4:8 – Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded(King James Version). We are taught that if we draw nigh to God, he will draw nigh to you. If your focus is on God then you will invite God’s presence into your life. Let your focus purposeful and stayed on God.

What Are you Asking For?

What are you asking God for? When we approach God we need to consider ourselves. If we are constantly asking God for something more than what we have are we paying attention to what we are doing with what He has already blessed us with? We must be good stewards of what we have been blessed with so that God can truly trust us with more.

Are you asking God for a job? On your current job are you working to the best of your ability or are you doing just enough to get by? Are you giving to others with the money you make from your job or are you keeping the money for yourself? Are you giving to the church? Are you giving to those in need? Are you asking God for a new car? Are you taking care of the car that you have now by keeping it serviced and keeping it clean? Are you asking God for a new home? Are you taking care of the home that you have now? Are you truly grateful for the roof over your head?

We must be conscious of our actions. We must be in a constant state of gratitude, giving, and true unconditional love. We need to be mindful of our many blessings from our jobs to our talents/gifts. In all things we must acknowledge God and take nothing for granted.

Being a good steward is utilizing what has been given unto us to the fullest extent possible and not focus on what we don’t have. The bible has many scriptures about stewardship. Below are a few scriptures for you to help you on your way to becoming the best steward you can with what God has blessed you with. Remember it is a necessity to be a good manager of your life and all that has been given to us.

1 Peter 4:10 ESV
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:

Matthew 25:14-30 ESV
“For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away. He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money.

Proverbs 13:22 ESV
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.

Luke 12:42-46 ESV
And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom his master will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. But if that servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and get drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful.
