Survival is the goal for us all. We must survive to live another day. When you have a medical scare you are thrown in survival mode. When we are forced to defend ourselves we immediately go to fight or flight mode. When it comes to your health you must fight. If you fight you will survive. Life is truly worth fighting for. According to Webster the definition for survival is:
noun, often attributive \sər-ˈvī-vəl\
: the state or fact of continuing to live or exist especially in spite of difficult conditions
: something from an earlier period that still exists or is done
Once you get on the other side of survival you will notice a renewed sense of revival. You will be revived in your spirit. According to dictionary.com revival means:
1. restoration to life, consciousness, vigor, strength, etc.
2. restoration to use, acceptance, or currency: the revival of old customs.
3. a new production of an old play.
Once you reach the revival mode, you will have a thirst for fun, to get out and live life to the fullest, to be yourself, to respect yourself, to not let others define you, to be true to who you are inside, to love yourself and others, to see your true beauty and worth, to not worry or allow yourself to be burdened down, and most importantly to start choosing the colors that create your world.
Embrace your new-found life and don’t take anything for granted. We truly only live once here on this earth and it is amazing when our lives are transformed through unexpected illness or other life tragedies. To allow your survival to propel you in a place of peace, love and joy is the part that we should all focus on. If you have been revived then you have a strength and faith that you didn’t know that you had. Your survival has officially revived you. Now live your life to the fullest!
