King James Bible
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39
This is such a powerful scripture. Jesus was asleep on the boat when a great storm arose. The others on the boat were terrified and feared that the boat would sink. Jesus was asleep because He had no fear. He knew who He was and whose He was. Therefore, in the midst of the great storm He had peace and was resting/sleeping peacefully. When the others awoke Him He spoke boldly to the storm and simply said Peace Be Still.
Jesus speaks to the storms in our lives the same way. He has even given us the authority to speak in the same manner. We must realize our given authority and exercise it. Don’t let the storm keep raging in your life but speak to it boldly in the name of Jesus “Peace Be Still”.
There is nothing more comforting than peace. With peace you can sleep through the night, you can go on your job and face the enemy, and you can calm those negative, positive thoughts that are rushing your mind. Peace will give you the clarity to meditate and rest in God’s promises.
